Shearwater Whistles
Photos
I have included a few photos of the whistles. You will see that I also make some rather smart looking white ones with contrasting black mouthpieces. Unless asked I now just supply all black whistles as standard rather than with white caps. They seem to be more popular.

You can see the slightly offset G and D holes on the large whistles.
The idea for this is that it gives a player with shorter
fingers a fighting chance of playing low whistles.
It is not so crucial on the Low G, F and A.
I can also add contrasting trim to the foot of the
whistle if it takes your fancy. Let me know
The holes look a big elongated but that is just the angle of the photos!
NEW WHISTLES: Left to right: Bb pipers whistle, 'Wee'D with low C, Standard 'Wee' D
The Piper's Whistle is made with a flattened 7th note and a back thumb hole as in Highland pipes. Thanks to Jim Buchanan from the Lowland and Border Piping Society for suggesting this and my good friend Malcolm McLaren in Australia.
How often have you longed for a whistle with a note lower than D?
Well here you have one, D with a
bottom C.
On the standard D you can easily cross finger to obtain G#
Quite handy really if you want to play in A!
EVEN NEWER!!!!!
Alto G or A all alloy body with PVC mouthpiece block with curved windway.
